Responsibilities
- The candidate selected for this position will lead the Upper Mississippi River Restoration (UMRR) Program, or a similar program, for the St. Paul District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
- The UMRR Program has delivered vital ecosystem restoration projects throughout the Upper Mississippi River.
- This regional program requires significant collaboration and strong communication skills.
- The successful candidate will represent the St. Paul District and work closely with the Rock Island and St. Louis Districts, as well as Federal, State, and local partners.
- As a project manager, you are responsible for the overall management, control, coordination, and execution of assigned projects.
- Implements corporate decisions, guidance, laws, regulations, and policy in the development of the project and intermediate products in support of the project.
- Negotiates and integrates all district functions, sponsor/customer needs, and other agencies commitments in support of assigned project into a comprehensive management plan.
- Coordinates the planning, design, cost engineering, construction, and environmental restoration, etc. for engineering projects of substantial scope and complexity.
- Controls and manages project milestones and budget from planning through construction and initial operations.
