Job description
This position, located in the Office of the Director of Administration and Management (DA&M) at the Pentagon, is for a Senior Management & Program Analyst. The analyst serves as a principal advisor on management studies, strategic initiatives, and special projects. This role provides leadership and oversight for administrative operations and performance improvement, supporting executive decisions and influencing policies across multiple organizations within the Department of War.
Duties:
Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Serves as a senior advisor and recognized technical authority on enterprise-level management, organizational structure, administrative operations, performance improvement, and governance. Manages, analyzes, and coordinates highly sensitive action items, taskings, briefing packages, and policy materials involving issues of paramount national security, administrative, organizational, or management importance. Provides cross-functional management studies, strategic initiatives, executive decision support, process improvement, governance analysis, policy implementation, organizational transformation, and sensitive special projects. Independently plans, leads and integrates major assignments that directly influence Department mission execution administrative governance, organizational alignment, resource allocation, and long-term management effectiveness. Ensures executive decisions are translated into actionable, enterprise-wide implementation plans and monitors execution to ensure alignment with leadership intent, policy direction, resource priorities, and Department governance requirements.
