About the Position: This position is located in the Engineering Department of Joint Task Force Guantanamo Bay (JTF-GTMO) Cuba. Consideration will also be given to current Army employees with personal competitive status. Guantanamo Bay is an accompanied tour position. The initial length of this overseas tour is 2 years and may be extended to 5 years. Separation Maintenance Allowance is not authorized, except in special circumstances when for extenuating reason, family cannot be on the island.

Locality pay does not apply in the overseas area. Employees (and family members) who require medical or dental care in the overseas location will be responsible for obtaining and paying for such care. Pay retention may be offered to selected applicants for positions at overseas locations. Pay retention will not be offered as an incentive for employees moving between overseas positions. Responsibilities
- Apply professional knowledge of the principles, methods and techniques of engineering to solve facility related problems and to improve, construct, or support Naval Station and JTF-GTMO facilities.
- Develop, execute and maintain a multi-million-dollar MILCON program supporting the Guantanamo Naval station and JTF-GTMO detention mission.
- Assist and provide guidance to Naval Station and JTF-GTMO elements in identifying construction requirements and preparing necessary documentation for execution.
- Serve as Contracting Officer Representative (COR) with delegated authority for architectural and engineering service contracts.
