About the Position: This position is located within RPEDS; USACE; New Orleans District and provides support to the Memphis and Vicksburg District. The position serves as the Plan Formulation Branch Chief, managing the Branch's workload and resources across a complex portfolio keeping in line with the organization's mission, policies, and operating procedures. This announcement is intended to fill a vacancy and will be assigned to one of the USACE duty locations, specified in this announcement.

Responsibilities
- Serves as Chief, Plan Formulation Branch, with responsibility for carrying out branch functions across a portfolio of complex planning studies.
- Plans, coordinates, directs, and supervises, through subordinate supervisors, the activities to delivery complex planning studies, environmental compliance, economic updates for projects.
- Coordinates branch activities extensively with other elements across the districts, MSC, and HQ to ensure technical consulting, policy compliance, and quality of products.
- Serves as the technical expert and representative as appropriate with officials from other Districts, non-federal entities at the local and state levels, and other Federal agencies.
- Participates in long-range strategic planning for the branch, serving as a key decision-maker regarding resources, schedule and funding, for major studies and projects.
- Technically and administratively controls branch activities including; workflow, production, technical quality, and full compliance with personnel management responsibilities, including recruitment, performance evaluations, and employee relations.
