About the Position: Serves as Chief of Construction Services Branch, Construction Division, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District. Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) required. Command is anticipating relocating from 26 Federal Plaza, New York, NY to a new site in Newark NJ, Hoboken NJ, or Jersey City NJ; however, the final duty station is still to be determined.

Responsibilities
- Plans, manages, directs, supervises and evaluates the work performed in the Construction Services Branch. Exercises delegated personnel management responsibilities.
- Maintains liaison with area offices to provide advice and guidance regarding technical engineering matters.
- Resolves complex problems of both an administrative and technical nature.
- Makes decisions regarding daily operations, such as manpower and funding resources to programs and projects, organizational improvements, coordination with key District and Contractor personnel, and program planning and evaluation activities.
- Keeps supervisor informed on all program status, attends meetings with the District Engineer to advise on Construction Services matters, and makes periodic visits to construction sites to follow-up on reports compiled by subordinates.
- Assures the timely performance of a satisfactory amount and quality of work. Establishes deadlines and prepares schedules for completion of work.
- Reviews recommendations of subordinate supervisors regarding employee performance, training needs, promotion potential, advisability of reassignment, placement of applicants, resolution of complaints, and other facets of personnel administration.
- Oversees, supervises, and is responsible for the work products of three Construction Division Section Chiefs and Quality Assurance Technical Section.
